How can i work hard if i have nothing to do :|

Keep asking and remember no task is too mundane. If someone gives you a little task to do and you do it quickly and it is correct, people will give you more work.

The one thing i have done is some crazy excel which took me a few hours and was definetley what they were looking for. Just since then ive pretty much had nothing

ask someone for some company literature, employee handbooks whatever, so you can research everything the company does.

find an area you're interested and ask if you can help in that debt. or work under so and so who runs it.

wait, that seems like too much trouble. just surf the internet.

oh, and DO NOT surf the internet.

Read company literature, SEC filings, employee handbooks, etc. etc.

Find someone and ask them what they do every day. Ask them if you can shadow them one day and learn about their job. Then when you're shadowing them, they'll think of a bunch of ish you can help them with.

just keep at it.

Well i work for a small consulting firm, where only 3 people are here from the firm, and the rest are DB Employees, so for the most part im only asking the people from the firm if they need anything.

Tell them no one seems to have anything for you to do and ask if it would be OK if you asked a DB employee. If they think of something, that will take precedence over anything you're working on for a DB employee. Make sure you let the DB employee know what going in too.
