Default What to do

Im an intern for a consulting copany working at Deutsche Bank Headquarters in NYC. Ive been here for 3 days, and have really done nothing. Noone has anything for me to do, i ask them and they just say nah i dont need to do anything. So what am i supposed to do all day? I dont understand why they brought me in, i just sit surfing the web, but i feel bad becuase i feel like i should be doing something productive. What should i do?

I would just keep going out of your way to offer help to the guys above you. When they really see that you are there to work and help them out, they might be interested in helping you and showing you more things.

And if not, just sit around and surf the net - it's a fun job.

A few ideas can be had here .

Other great idea: Start booking conference rooms and send out invites to workshops about topics you haven't even heard before. Find out if anyone who shows up actually knows something about that workshop's topic. Be creative, you have so much potential!

Most internships can be boring and companies will take on interns for philanthropy instead of the company actually needing help with an abundance of work.

Work hard, continue to volunteer daily, and your internship will look good on your resume.

Keep asking and remember no task is too mundane. If someone gives you a little task to do and you do it quickly and it is correct, people will give you more work.
