I have mercifully forgotten those holes, but on my lone, expensive outing to the Ocean Course at Kiawah, in a storm, with a 7.1 index, it took me a full dozen well-distributed golf balls to get around.

Eight over par. [/ QUOTE ] I took an 11 on Oakmont #2. Off the tee right into the trap. Left into the hazard, the axe handle chop flew the fairway into the trap. Over the green into the trap, buried. Could not get out of the trap. Blasted out of the trap onto the bunker. Pitched off of the front of the green. Chipped back on and three putted. It was actually a brilliant three putt.

For me, it was my very first round. I shot a 14 on a short par 4.
It took my 3 drives to get over the marsh. Followed by a few tops. Then an approach shot that got lost. Then a bunch of putts. I forgot how it played out exactly, I just know I got 14. One of the guys we were with had been playing for 5 years, and he made sure we counted every stroke and penalty and played by the correct rules.
