opponent is not good. LAGgy, but more of a calling-station type who finds it painful to let go of a hand unless clearly beat.

The consensus seems to be that the PF raise should be larger (albeit some for the wrong reasons - I don't want to "fold out" Ax when I can grt HU as a 2.3:1 favorite).

The wrench was his flat call on the flop. The reason I made a smallish CB was that I believed that his action would only be fold or raise given his potential holdings and I was prepared to shut down to a raise.

Then when I improved on the turn, I thought my previous aggression may buy me a free card to 11 outs.

Really? That's odd. I'd imagine that you're PF rr would've been met with a shove from most people holding KK.
