I'll finish the story to end the thread. OP was unable to get the nerve up to ask her out, even though the attractive young lady blatantly telegraphed her interest in him and practically threw herself at him. In fact, he stopped going to the casino to avoid her in order to avoid the whole issue. He is destined to lose in life.

The young lady, emotionally distraught after being spurned by him, felt horribly inadequate. Shortly thereafter she started having an illicit affair with an unattractive married man who treats her poorly and always reeks of booze and cigarettes. He is also 20 years her senior, and rather overweight. But he had the nerve to ask, and only hits her sometimes, and afterwards he always says he's sorry. She also can only meet him at motels and in the casino parking lot, because of his wife.

And everyone lived happily ever after.
