Pick him up. There's always some guy who will trade his best player for the hot new young pitcher. I just joined a midseason keeper league and some guy took Tim Lincecum in the first round.

I had a ton of high-inning, decent ERA starters but I've been bleeding them off in favor of hot/young prospects.

Now:
Webb
Lowe
Kazmir
Gaudin
Felix
Gorzelanny
Maine
Slowey
Bailey

Looking at that its a little scary how... unestablished they pretty much all are. I suppose I can always start playing the, pick up starters going against [censored] offenses every day game... since transactions are free

As well he should have. Lincecum is a top 5 pitcher right now and if he stays healthy will rank no worse than #2 going into next season.

As for Bailey, I don't have as much confidence in him as I did Lincecum or would Gallardo if he got called up. His K:BB and K:IP were not off the charts in AAA. He's also going to pitch in a hitters park for a losing team. Still, with his stuff and upside, I like him better than Buehrle so long as you don't need to start him every week.

This staff looks alright to me. You've got Webb and Felix Hernandez to anchor the rotation and start every week. The rest of the guys you can go for two starts and matchups. Maine might be a "sell high" candidate.
