The answer is they make it into the money 15-20% of the time. Considering that 10% of the field is usually ITM, a good player can expect to get there twice as often. I'd venture to say that if you're better than 20%, you're probably too tight and may be losing money in the long run. |

No, just a hunch, based on a friend of mine who prides himself on his 29% ITM record, yet has negative ROI over 500-something MTT's at the 20+2 level. He likes to play super-tight at the bubble, even folding big hands (99, TT etc.) so he can eke into the money with zero risk of busting out near the bubble. He cashes a hell of a lot more than I do, but he almost never goes deep.
