Re: KJo in BB (1/2 6m)
[ QUOTE ]
Also, those who are advocating a c/r, with 2 people to act behind this is such a bad plan as it is easy to get this checked behind, which would be a total disaster. [/ QUOTE ] How often do you see a 4way pot get checked through in a 6max game? |

[ QUOTE ] c/r flop as played 3bet it. as played bet turn as played c/r turn river and preflop is fine [/ QUOTE ] Could you explain to a relative noob why it is better to c/r the flop here than to bet out? [/ QUOTE ] Checkraising almost always gets 2 bets in. Donking is more likely to get 1 bet in when you're winning and 2 when you're losing. |

Re: KJo in BB (1/2 6m)
thanks for the replies.
I led the flop because of the flush and straight potentials. After watching utg for a couple orbits I just knew he would raise regardless of his holdings, which I wanted him to do to knock out button and sb. When the raise came from the button I was quite thrown off and immediately thought AJ. That's narrowing the range too much and by not 3betting I failed to get any more dead money in the pot for the times I'm good or catch up. (is this thinking correct?) But afterward I thought, if I'm so sure of AJ on the flop, the river bet doesn't make sense. If I'm ahead no one calls without a worse J, if he does have AJ or a boat it cost me an extra bet to see showdown. I felt like a fish that had been caught and was flopping around in the bottom of the boat. edit: for grammar |
