Could something have changed recently to stop it f rom supporting DHCP? My router used to work then it recently went out.

changing it to static with the ips of the modem didnt make it work.

You could try it on another connection if you have a friend with the same hookup. Did you say you upgraded the firmware? Isn't there switch to set it back to factory default? You might try that and see if you get anything.

well your router is not connected to the cable modem.
if you go to linksys webpage I think they have troubleshooting for your model.

If it worked then died I would also think you have a dead router. I have had a couple of Linksys routers crap out on me and now I am running a cheaper Airlink. On the Airlink I had to disable its advanced firewall to get Vonage to work but other than that its been great.

not a new router proble, just had to clone the mac adress, thanks for all your help though
