why is making it 500 better than shoving?

[/ QUOTE ]

The extra chips that you gain when they call and you shove the turn.

Our hand is seeing all five cards, there aren't really any scare cards for us but there are tons for everyone else and some (if not all) of the villains will fold now.

Sweeten the pot and shove the turn. If they call we are still drawing very live, If they fold to the turn shove then we've won an even bigger pot.

We have a solid draw, but I don't think we should be raising instead shoving to encourage draws. If they all fold thats great.

I'd shove this flop, there is a ton of money in the pot and your hand has a ton of value right now.

I like a shove here. Noone has showed any strength at all. SB led for about 1/4th the pot and then got called in 2 spots. If these guys really had a good hand wouldn't they raise considering the flop is 4 way & there's draws out there? Even if you get called you will have a lot of outs and it would probably even be a coin flip. That 760 would really look good in your stack so take a stab at it.

I think your reasoning is flawed here. With that many players you really need to shove and hope for a few folds. Vs one player you could try a raise.
