Re: NL100: 88 squeeze runs into a shove
Kinda odd nobody's even mentioned UTG yet, since he's key to the whole hand. If UTG's stupidly nitty then CO's range may well be somewhat ahead of ours and he's simply value shoving. If he's not, then CO's range sucks and this is a pretty easy call.

Re: NL100: 88 squeeze runs into a shove
call for set value the first time around but now you can't fold. you are getting nearly 2 to 1 against a villain who is 30/20. villain's range here includes a lot of marginal hands especially if you have been 3 betting him a ton.

Dire took the words from my mouth. IF UTG is nitty, I think you see TT here a lot.

Re: NL100: 88 squeeze runs into a shove
UTG was not nitty, he was a laggy 22 / 18 / 4. I thought for a while but I the only hand I can put the shover on that is beating me is TT, and I since I think lower PPs as well as random junk are in his range as well, I called. Initial Raiser had Q9s and hit two pair for the win.
As a side note, i think his bluff shove is absolutely horrible. The pot odds were huge and there is no way I can put him on a premium hand with the action, so he has very little fold equity. And there is a good chance he is dominated as well. |

squeeze with a hand that is better or has less calling value. It definatly looks like he's FOS but I'm not sure if I can call this.

Re: NL100: 88 squeeze runs into a shove
your getting like 2 to 1 and if he's gonna show up here with an overpair, then he can definitely show up with AK or AQ or something of that nature. you gotta call
