I voted raise/raise/raise.
Surprised at how negative people were on A559. It's a fold from early positions but IMO it's plenty good enough for a late position raise. EDIT: Changed my mind about A559. I think it's a little too junky from this position, even with the Axs. I feel sure it's +EV from the cut-off at least. |

To me, A3 & AJ have good value short-handed, and I would call a raise but not want to have to pay 3 sb's to see the flop, so I go with call here, if the 8 was gone or if I had a suited A for value I would raise.
A559 ace suited - I dump this in EP, 55, a5, and axs kind of suck as combo's. I would need a lot of reasons to play this hand in anytype of LO8 game in any position, actually. A4J10 rb - this was the toughest one for me, and it really depend on table conditions, but as it was border-line I voted call. My sample is small in 6-max LO8, but started out large and then ran bad, making me breakeven at 3/6 and 5/10. My sample is less than 5k at short-handed, and this includes probably 400-800 of HU hands, as these games tend to break (at least when I played them last January). |

This is similar to the turnout we got in previous polls. A large discrepancy between opinions and playing styles. Even though the sample size is small, I think it's interesting and very indicative that the answers vary so much.
Hand one is an easy call for me, hand two is a fold, and hand three is sometimes a call, sometimes a raise, but never a fold. If you're folding hand one you're playing much too tight. If you're calling hand two you're playing too loose. If you're folding hand three, you're playing too tight. I suggest some of you who play 6-max do some research on how strong these hands are against 5 other random hands. |

I voted fold / call / raise and I am a beginner. The first hand is trashy IMO and should be played only full ring in late position for one bet. I would fold it even then though. The second hand is much better. A raise comes into consideration since for instance a set of fives after the flop would do better against a small field. If I flop a flush draw I would prefer a large field though. When in doubt about raising or limping I usually limp in O8. For a shorthanded game the third start hand to me seems clearly the best of the three. Full ring I would muck it if not in the big blind though. [/ QUOTE ] Try call, fold, raise. |

im in lv now, lets get a table tonight, bellagio. pm me for me # if youre going to show up. if bellagio wont spread a hu table because theyre too busy we can move it to venetian or wynn, but id hate to be in such a quiet room all alone with noone else around, too boring. btw, i place little value in your pf equity calcs. A4 is generally a reverse implied odd hand, especially against those other 2 hands.

ps, i love how you post these polls and then correct everyones opinion like youre the [censored] authority on omaha just because youre a 15/30 grinder. oh wait, i forgot, youre one of the best full ring limit omaha players in the world. you want me to stake you for the nose bleed omaha games on full tilt?
