Does anyone know if they have 40's in Thailand? It might be time to blow this popsicle stand.

[/ QUOTE ]

No, but plenty of 22s of Singha and Heineken on ice.

Ed,

When I lived on Cap Hill in Seattle, my neighborhood was zoned too ghetto for 40s. It was a big let down the one time I wanted to be ironic and drink some Old English.

[/ QUOTE ]

My understanding of the banning 40s thing was that it's not the 40s, but the alcohol content of the booze that tends to come in 40s.

Where did you live on Capitol Hill? I lived on 12th and Olive for a couple years near a little Korean market that sold Boone's Farm Wine for 1.50. Who needs a 40 when you've got that?

after living in nyc for a few years, it's kind of amazing to think about not being able to buy a 24-40oz bottle of just about anything.

As little as possible, I think I could probably pull that off in Thailand. The no 40's thing might be a deal breaker though.

Just drive 5 minutes, go to any 7-11 in Beaverton, buy multiple 40s, drive home, get your drink on.

I'm in Beaverton right now and it sounds like a good idea to me.

I'm going to write a strongly worded letter about this whole situation. Who should I send it to?

You could send it to me. I'm in Salem right now, and I don't care what Newsweek says, this is the most happening city in America.
