Well I mos def was not colluding I just wanted to get some feedback on that hand to see how good/bad of a play it was. My thinking at the time was button pretty much folds 100% of the time here. Assuming he does fold then I'm paying ~300 to win a little over 1,500. I considered limping and checking down here as well (wouldn't be a bad idea in hindsight I guess) but then I would have 4 random cards to beat instead of just 2 to win 1,500 pot.

I think mathematically this may be a good play but in actuallity the more I'm looking at it + responses it wasn't very good?

the play risks too much for too little; more importantly, it costs you valuable fold equity for end game. It shouldn't, but in the 16s it does.

ummmmmmm, it's certainly the optimal play for the short stack.

He's now a significant favorite to triple up (with almost any two cards).

the limpers chips aren't free. this isn't the bubble he isn't guranteed cash if he folds and you win. in fact, with 1/3 of his stack in and 2bbs left he probably won't be folding to a shove often at all. All you've managed to do is give away half your stack.

also, celebrate the great honor of getting SFB to post STRATEGY in your thread.

grunch: I would just call and hope to check it down w/ btn hoping to knock one more person out. Your hand sucks and there is no dead money for you to steal except t30

I dont see why giong all in is terrible. IF the button had folded you'd be goign arr in right? So doing it this way gives you the chance of more chips when the button folds his almost certainly weak hand. Calling obviously gives you excellent odds, but little chance of making a hand as a pair will almost certainly lose.

SO both plays have some merit, although I'd place little emphasis on eliminating players.

If the BB wasn't all in - it's the correct play, since he is all in it's bad. I think you confused the concept.
