Action "tamer" at mucks? The Korean folks at PJs have to be some of the wildest in the world. Last Monday I saw a pot that got capped at least 3 ways on every street.

If you like "action" that's great, but like a lot of good low limit players I prefer an extremely loose but passive table.

I'd MUCH rather have 7 in the hand for 1-2 bets on every street than 2-3 capping.

I have the same reply to all of these threads re: Seattle low limit casinos. Goldies in Shoreline, near 145th. Great people, good games, great comps.

I left Seattle right before Hollywood opened up their poker room, so that might be the place to be now. When I was playing up there, the only thing about 4/8 was the Parker's 10/20, which would have been too high for me, but a 6/12 would have been nice.

A $2 jackpot drop is insane. Whoever thought of that amendment to WAC 230-40-610 should be taken out back and shot.

At least no one seems to be taking the allowed $5 rake, or even $4.

For non-tribal casinos, I'd definitely agree, even though the place's smoke smell has been replaced with a stale smoke smell (those walls need a good scrubbing and the carpet a good cleaning).

Parkers is nice and loose too, with some spewy regulars. But I understand why people would be attracted to the tribals - to say the "action" ambience is lacking in the smaller cardrooms is like saying a Toyota Echo might not beat a Porsche off the line.

The Muck in particular feels like playing at an older Vegas room - but they absolutely HAVE to ditch those vinyl chairs that make you feel as if you've wet yourself after a couple of hours. Oddly, the smaller rooms have much more comfortable seating.

Who prefers this? A weak-tight under-bankrolled player? I had a guy in recent memory not 3-bet 87 on an 874T7 board after I raised my flopped straight flush on the river...You like that kind of thing?

No and no.

Thanks for the laugh, though.

Yes, the chairs do suck. You don't notice it as much when the numbness sets in though.

I kinda like both. But many do get intimidated by the wilder games.

Tulalip Casino
Directions->Tulalip

Tulalip is my favorite, but it's closer for me. They have a new (smoke free, enclosed) poker room. I've seen them spread as low as 2-4 and always 3-6. Games are very soft. Easy money is in the NL200 game, but the blind structure sucks (3-5). Very comfortable seating.

Muckleshoot Casino
Directions->Mucks

Only been there a couple times. Good Entertainment. Good food. Both times I played 4-8 it was a nit-fest. A few old-timers who'd clearly been worn down by years of beats. Coaching ensued. Players tightened up. No fun. Small sample size though.

Directions->Parkers Casino

Parkers has 4-8, but if you're looking to step it up a bit, I've been told their 8-16 game plays like a 4-8. Huge pots. Bad play. 2 dollar chips makes for same betting as 4-8. Pretend they're $1 chips.....
