Default Seattle Casinos/Poker Rooms

I am heading to Seattle in about 10 days and was wondering if anyone knows of any good places to play in the Seattle area. I would prefer one that is part of a larger, normal casino and approximately a 1 hour drive or so. I tried looking up casinos on the internet, but I am not familiar with all the city/towns in Washington or their locations.

I am a limit player and prefer 2-4 to 5-10 games.

Thanks for the help.

If you're on the north side of Seattle go the Tulalip. If you're on the south side of Seattle go to Muckleshoot. Both are Indian casinos and I'm sure both have websites.

Good Luck!

Compared to other South Sound options, Muckleshoot sucks for lower limits IMHO. There are a few wild games (from crazy paigow players) , excellent comps, and some very nice Monte Carlo jackpots elsewheres.

Near Seattle you have the two larger Indian casinos and many smaller cardrooms. The smaller cardrooms offer lower limits because the maximum bet is $25.

Some of the smaller cardrooms have great comps and soft games for low limit players. For example the Hollywood just 15 min north of downtown Seattle has a soft 6-12 game and $10 food comps (and the food is very good).

If you need specific examples, PJ Pockets' 4/8 in Federal Way routinely gets pots over $300 and sometimes $400 and the Chips Casino recently payed out a $10,000 jackpot for a royal flush in a 3/6 game. (Reasonable food options at both as well) Rising Dragon Casino in Tacoma let my friend order food to go after playing in a 3/6 game after a tourney for about 20 minutes before it broke. The waiting list at Muckleshoot always seems to be ridiculously long as well, thus why I said it sucks for the low(est) limits for South Sound players.

You can get food to go at mucks. The games are a bit tamer at mucks, but actionwise, they're both moneymakers. I actually prefer the monte carlo JPs to badbeats. The waiting list actually can get to 1/2 hour. More on absolute busy nights.

I've also heard that many smaller casinos are now dropping an extra $1(making that $2) into the JP drops. This is on top of the $3 rake + the $1 tip. Something to watch for. That's quite a bite.

When I said to go food, i meant complimentary. And I'll take the extra $1 rake loss when people are chasing any pocketpair postflop in the hopes of getting runner runner quads, etc. Action "tamer" at mucks? The Korean folks at PJs have to be some of the wildest in the world. Last Monday I saw a pot that got capped at least 3 ways on every street. 67s, K4s (both backdoored flushes) and Q7o (trips) were 3 of the hands involved. A regular lady calls out under her breath her holdings 60%+ of the time. I once sat with a welldressed gentleman there who in 7+ hours of play, (I swear) NEVER folded preflop and NEVER folded on the flop no matter how many bets it was back to him. With a solid bankroll and an average run of cards, the game has to be one of the best 4/8 games in the U.S. (It can't get much better is all)

You do know what 'tamer' means, right? Btw...Lots of the smaller rooms that spread that limit can get pretty wild. Not saying wild is a bad thing, but many can't handle that wild of a table.

Just so you know, $3 rake + $2 JP drop + $1 tip = $6. That's quite a bite on a 3-6/4-8 table even with the extra action for the JP players. That's almost like a $15 rake on a 10-20 game.
