Re: I\'m having difficulty gaining weight...
1. Weightgainers are probably a waste of money.
2. Weightgainers are worthless. 1 and 2 are different statements, and I think 1 is true and 2 is false. Here's a weightgainer that doesn't look too bad. That said, see statement 1. |

Re: I\'m having difficulty gaining weight...
I have had trouble gaining weight in the past two. The two biggest pieces of advice I can give you is 1) You have to consistently eat more. I'm talking at least 2500 calories a day but try for 3000 and you should be on your way. A lot of people eat like 3500 one day and then 2000 the next day. This won't cut it. 2) Start working out. Deadlifting is the best mass building exercise you can do. A lot of people forget about their lower body when they start working out. This will greatly impede your ability to gain weight. Your legs have to get bigger for the rest of your body to also get bigger (something to do with genetics or something). Timing meals in relation to your workouts is also very important. There is a lot of information about what kind of foods to eat and when on Bodybuilding.com. Don't forget to take everything from that site with a grain of salt. And two months is not very long. Try the above for like a year and you should definitely see some results. If you are committed you shouldnt have a problem.

1. Weightgainers are probably a waste of money. 2. Weightgainers are worthless. [/ QUOTE ] I concur. Nothing "magical" about weight gainers. Like the majority of supplements, if you have the money go for it. Calories can be taken in with regular food at a cheaper price. It's all about your budget and whether or not you need the "ease" of a quick calorie loaded bomb. |

Re: I\'m having difficulty gaining weight...
If you can consistently stick to that diet, it's pretty good.

Re: I\'m having difficulty gaining weight...
I wasn't being condescending in my post, if that's how it came across. It's actually impressive if you can stick to a clean diet for a year.

[/ QUOTE ] no, i wasn't sure if you thought i was asking if that would be good enough or something. but, now that i re-read the op, i really have no idea how much you'd need to eat at 115 lbs, thats like the size of my 13 y.o. cousin. i dont know how many calories/etc would be recommended for a bulk |

Re: I\'m having difficulty gaining weight...
read Scrawny to Brawny... then read it again and apply what you've learned. It's not easy, but it works.
