Re: Vegas: WiFi Hotspots?
The Verizon service had a 15-day free trial thing when I signed-up. So I guess it might be possible to scam them in this way.
The card itself costs money though. Returning it after using it might be an issue. I'm not even entirely certain these things don't work in Canada. Cingular is advertising that their internet-cards are now allowing you access worldwide in several major cities (don't know if there's an extra fee associated with that or not). So I would think this would include major Canadian cities. |

Re: Vegas: WiFi Hotspots?
You should know if you have ATT DSL you can sign up for attwifi and use their service at any barnes & nobles or mcdonalds. You can see the locations on attwifi.com. There are prob a few mcdonalds on the strip that have that service.

Re: Vegas: WiFi Hotspots?
Starbucks have reliable T-Mobile WiFi pretty much wherever you go in the USA, in my experience.
I used the service at the Starbucks on Tropicana West, last year during the series. You can sign up for a variety of pay as you go tarifs. I tried and failed to find the advertised Krispy Kreme "free" WiFi in the food court at the Excal, wasting a valuable hour's poker in the process! |
