Re: Quick poll -- CEV vs $EV
more than double.
I can make weak players fold for their tournament life creating many ++ev opportunities for me in 9 hours when the blinds start to become significant. |

more than double. I can make weak players fold for their tournament life creating many ++ev opportunities for me in 9 hours when the blinds start to become significant. [/ QUOTE ] This and the EV related answers (even though they don't directly address the question) seem to summarize the debate for me. If you want to search the archives there are numerous threads that rehash the EV question over and over. I don't see how the question as phrased would yield an answer significantly different from the question posed as "double your EV." Whatever the correct answer is for one it seems like it would be the same for both. Although I voted for less than double I really think Cornell's answer is the right one for some players. For others it would be much less than double. It depends on how well they play a big stack. I'm sure we've all seen both extremes of big stack play in action. |
