Default Quick poll -- CEV vs $EV

This is to settle a bet, I'm pretty sure this has been discussed before though. We can reopen discussion if people feel like it, but I mostly just want to see some votes.

think your question was too vague. who is 'you'? that matters, for some players their value could double with a double up, others may not. In an 'everyones equal' world, doubling your chips would double your chance to win the tournament. But that isn't to say that it would be the most +EV move, if doubling your chips came w/ a 50% of busting.

Each chip you win is worth less than the prior chips you have...does that also relate to $EV

The question is NOT if your $EV doubles, its if your chance of winning the whole thing doubles. There's a difference.

The crux is that its a little less than double in a large field tourney.

Its less because if you win 100% of the chips, you do not win 100% of the $$$.

The smaller the field, the farther away from double you get, and there are also skill issues to take into consideration.....

Didn't read that far down, and misread original post.
