Villains ply is pretty good vs. an aggro player like CAterp imo on hand 1.

I bet the turn in hand 2.

Didn't notice the heart draw in hand 1. Makes it less spewy. I still like a check behind, though.

no , I would explain it but it would take too long. for simplicity sake, put yourself in caterp's shoes in hand 1 with AKo,KQ and that should help.

nh

Just noticed, after someone pointed it out, that villain in hand one had hearts, definitely like the play vs an aggro 2p2er in that case.

I think any hand that is going to call a 44$ bet on turn would not have been calling and checking down. Therefore in this situation i will take a free card. But when i think my opponent has a hand that he is trying to protect and checks the turn, i will bet for value and semi bluff.

LOL at people saying that villains play in hand 1 is terrible. It's called a semi-bluff. And AK is usually just a bluff catcher here after that action, honestly I'd expect most 2p2ers to have a set there pretty often, or a turned 12 out + draw.

Worse hands don't call, sure, but better hands do fold. And if AK calls, you've got 12 outs anyways, and it balances the times he flopped a set.

In this hand, I'd check the turn seeing as how fast he played his draw in the first hand.

but why are we bluffing when 90%+ of the time he folds we have the best hand and we are pretty much crushed every time we are called?

just because we have a combo draw doesnt mean we should get it in.
