i hate min-raises but this looks like a great spot for it. I think the push is too much as it is certainly gonna get called by hands beating you.

Min-raise accomplishes what you are trying to do by getting information. the flop min raise from a usually aggressive opponent really looks like AA, KK, Ak, 6-7, 6-6 type of hand. He probably expetcs you to flat call hands like JJ in position in this spot.

The min raise may also cause him to push with weaker hands like middle prs(which is what he was betting out with anyways), Which you can also call depending on your mood. (In my eyes I dont expect villain to bet out hands like AK too much on this kind of board which has a lot of showdown value for his hand.)

It would be really really hard for him to call or push without beating you here. If he is the type to push
7-7 here, you will definitely stack him later anyways.

Now if this is true, whats the difference between villain calling an all in with KQ and with say 77 here? Except KQ having a bit more equity vs some draws, there shouldn't really be much difference at all.

[/ QUOTE ]
KQ has ~68% equity vs a draw and 77 has ~55%, so the differance is quite significant.

I dont like it. You do this with a king, AA, trips or a flushdraw. If he has two overs one freebie isnt that bad.

Also I dont think he will make a heroic call w/ a PP that many times to make the move profitable.

Call. just call.

Looks like you did this because you were angry that his AK sucked out. Also looks like you pushed just because you were angry at the flop holding a K when you wanted a 666 flop.

Don't be so angry.

I like if he has been 3-betting a lot. He can't just fold 88 here if he is 3-betting light. I would shove like A7+, random QJ type stuff, FDs, and TT+ for value here..

You need a really good read/meta game history and implications to do something like this.

In general, this is just plain retarded.

What are you doing when you defend with 55 here? Or AQ? Are you just going to fold that PF?

I don't understand the relevance of your post.

Shoving JJ on this flop without specific history is retarded.
