I'm with you, I couldn't figure out the math in my head factoring SBs range + BBs range against our JJ. I just had a feeling that BBs equity goes up and ours comes down when bringing in SBs range.

Darcy,

My crystal ball is telling me that GB had AK, you made the call and eliminated him, and he berated you in the chat box, reminding you that he is 23rd best player in the world. What do I win?

[/ QUOTE ]

He didn't berate me, so you win nothing. I'll still buy you a beer in Vegas if I ever get off my ass and win a seat for the ME again.

Regards,
Woodguy

I'm pushing AJs+, 88+ in his shoes over a Woodguy LP raise in this situation because I've always thought of you as pretty laggy and those stats seem pretty laggy to me.

[/ QUOTE ]

I thought I had toned the lagginess down...maybe I haven't.

edit: Is 22/17 laggy? Damn, I've been pretty proud that my results have improved since I stopped trying to raise every two cards of the same color....

Woodguy

you've got one of the best hands in your range,

I think that's key too.

Please tell me you're still calling raises with 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

Oh and please win a ME seat, I'm looking forward to the drunken exacilbur madness. Cocktails!

Well, I'm just going by your posts. I don't think these stats are *that* laggy but I'd pop a big stack with raising from CO pretty wide for the overlay if that's what PAHUD was telling me. I mean, I think AQs+, TT+ is fine for popping me here, unless we're on Crypto, but I'd widen against some one with PFR 17, a big stack and CO raise. All of that said, readless, I think SB's pushing range with no FE is probably tighter than I was first thinking.

No, I'd never call there. Its a raise.

Someone opened, someone called and I made it 30 or 50 to go on the button with that monster.

Me too, that was a riot!

Can't let BigDaddyDvo order Makers & Coke for us anymore though...that way lay madness.

Default Results

I tanked for a while then called, but I didn't like it.

To my suprise gb2005 showed 88, and the SB showed A8s.

I nailed a J on the flop and both were drawing dead after a blank on the turn....yay me!

I thought that 88 wasn't in his range, if I knew that I wouldn't have tanked.

Thought it might make a reasonable post too given the dynamics of small main pot and huge side pot and stack sizes.

The three things that made this a call for me were mentioned in the answers

1) My hand is near the top of my range

2) I still have a workable stack if I call and lose, assuming its not quite proper to call (taking the slight worst...but BB's range needs to be fairly tight to really get the worst here)

3) BIg stack's are fun.

I rode the big stack and had the chip lead after the bubble....then went from the lead to out in 21st (first pay level ) in two hands where I played like my head was lodged firmly up my ass, but that's another post....

Regards,
Woodguy
