Nit [/ QUOTE ] Definitely. [ QUOTE ] Are u serious? Have u ever got drunk before? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah many times. Never cared much for it. I do like weed, but the effects seem very different to me. As for the taste part, I meant the alcohol itself is what tastes bad. I know a lot of the drinks they make taste good, but you always see people cringing after shots. It's just like... why do that to yourself? If I cringed after every bong hit, I'm sure I'd stop smoking weed. |

As with nearly all drugs that affect the brain, it has drastically different effects on different people. Some really like it, and some are quite literally immune to becoming alcoholics because they have two recessive genes which make them incapable of developing any tolerance to alcohol (they feel sick and throw up after a couple drinks). It makes some people feel good, and it makes some people (like me) just feel sleepy.
Potentially harmful fact of the day: Even the most addictive drugs (crack, cocaine) can only create a physical dependence in a fraction of the population. Edit: I'd have to recheck my textbooks, but I think the universal effect alcohol has on all people however is that it causes people to focus on the here and now. Which makes it kind of fun for people like me, who don't derive any pleasure from it at all. |

Cocaine can't be physically addictive to anybody under any circumstances. It's all mental. Not 100% sure about crack, but I'd assume it's the same way.
Heroin on the other hand... |

Comparing how much fun I've had going out drugged up on alcohol vs weed vs sober - alcohol takes a big lead. But the same goes when I compare all the bad nights I guess. Ah well reward>risk.
