Also, this is pretty clear now as to whether or not FTP awards $12K or $10K for additional packages won:

[ QUOTE ]
Win your first prize package and you'll receive a $10,000 tournament entry and $2,000 in spending money. Keep playing and we'll give you $12,000 in cash for every additional seat you win.

Small hijack, but does anyone know if bodog is planning on running those crazy "WSOP weekends" again that are nothing but massive overlay satellites?

extra 25k if you win more than 5 packages

My guess is that you only win the 25k if you are the King of the WSOP and win more than 5, not for all players that win 6 or more seats. Probably should e-mail support to verify though.

[/ QUOTE ]

hrm, i thought it was for any person who wins more than 5

Yes if you are their King of WSOP and won more than 5 seats.. Which reads to me as 1 person.

this is the quote from the site

"If you win more than five prize packages - dethroning last year's King, Azimut - we'll pay you an extra $25,000!"

technically, that reads as anyone who wins more than 5.

Anyone know FTP's policy regarding wearing their stuff and the type of contract you have to sign?

i won my seat last year through full tilt. they don't require you to wear their gear, but you still get a bunch of free stuff. you actually win the 2k travel expense money - it isn't given to you by the site (like on stars), it comes out of the prize pool. the contract wasn't anything out of the ordinary. full tilt also offers you decent amounts of cash if you are ever on a tv table or get interviewed by espn or whatever while wearing their gear.

Has anyone researched the Bodog WSOP paths?

3. Form of payment for additional packages
As far as I understand, PokerStars gives you W$11K for each additional package (roughly $9700) vs. $12,000 from FTP. If my assumptions aren't wrong, then FTP is the clear winner here also

[/ QUOTE ]
If you win an additional package, you'd get W$10k plus $1k on PS. It's not like FTP are being more generous with respect to their package costing $12k, because that money comes from the prize pool so there're fewer seats per dollar in the pool, so you have a marginally smaller chance of winning on FTP, and I just wrote the longest run-on sentance ever.

The people who won many seats last year kept the W$ and used them to enter other WSOP events. I have no idea if we're doing that again this year, but last year it meant that they got full value for their W$.
