Full Tilt vs. Stars (for those going for multiple WSOP packages)
This is obviously a critical decision since once you win one package, you are committed to that site for the long haul. Obviously, this is a very good dilemma to have but I still want to make sure I take my first step down the right path.
Factors to consider: 1. Volume of satellites Right now, Stars and FTP seem comparable, with perhaps the slight edge going to Stars. 2. Variety of satellites If Double Shootouts aren't your thing, then I think FTP is the clear winner right now. However, I've heard from a little birdy that Stars might be adding some new types of satellites. 3. Form of payment for additional packages As far as I understand, PokerStars gives you W$11K for each additional package (roughly $9700) vs. $12,000 from FTP. If my assumptions aren't wrong, then FTP is the clear winner here also. 4. Customer Service and treament at the event I don't think many would argue that PokerStars has the monopoly on this. Anyway, I wanted to hear others' opinions on this. General hard-ons for PokerStars aside, is there a path that's the obvious choice? Or is the best idea to just play on both until you win one (because this would maximize volume for your first and most important package), and then just follow suit? |

Re: Full Tilt vs. Stars (for those going for multiple WSOP packages)
Can i add another question on here for what people feel are the best satellites for softest play and best value. I'm guessing the $650 on stars due to the fact that more seats are given out and alot of people win their seats to it thru smaller satellites.

Re: Full Tilt vs. Stars (for those going for multiple WSOP packages)
Yeah, personally I think play both until you win one package is the best idea. Obviously if you don't plan to stop at one, then FTP gives you more when you win, but I think that Stars $650 is probably the best way to win, so I wouldn't deprive myself of that.

Can you elaborate on #2? Stars offers DSO, $320, $650, $33+r/a
What is FTP's range that clearly trumps that? |

[/ QUOTE ] from link If a player has won a WSOP Main Event seat at Full Tilt Poker, and wins a WSOP Main Event seat at another venue, whether it is online or in a brick-and-mortar casino, Full Tilt Poker will provide the player with $10,000 in WSOP lammers or credit their Full Tilt Poker account with $10,000, provided they furnish Full Tilt Poker with a copy of their seat registration form for the Main Event. |

So I guess if you win your 1st seat at Stars you can still play FTP, but not vice-versa. |

It says: [ QUOTE ] If a player has won a WSOP Main Event seat at Full Tilt Poker, and wins a WSOP Main Event seat at another venue [/ QUOTE ] It doesn't say that the FTP seat need be won after another seat. The way I read it is that you could win on FTP, then win on Stars, and tell FTP that you want the $10k. |
