Brody doesn't want to actually be A-list. He wants to be viewed as an A-list star without having to do any actually work of any kind. The Kevin Connelly part of the piece is basically the philosophy for all these losers out here.

I don't have a problem with people doing it...just like I don't care about girls who go into porn...reality tv stars..etc etc. But its kind of pathetic when people actually admire somone for it.

In most cases with someone like a Trichelle, Tonya from the Real World etc etc...thats probably the most they could do with what they have. But a douche like Brody could do anything he wants..his step dad is a famous music producer,he's totally loaded, his family knows everyone etc etc etc. But they are just so lazy they'd rather try to live off being that "guy that dated that girl who used to be on that Laguna Beach TV show." Which will work for like 2 or 3 years then they'll turn 30 and be a nobody and staring on The Surreal Life if they are lucky.

Though I'm not sure Spencer or Brody could ever even get on The Surreal Life.
