Re: How many hours needed to know your win rate?
[ QUOTE ]
I have 3 seperate colums on my record sheet other than win/loss, etc...I have a column for overall play, hand selection, reads and I rate myself on each session w/ a letter from A-F. [/ QUOTE ] That's a great idea. I'm going to add these columns to my spreadsheet now. What do other people have on their live play spreadsheets? I enter the following things for each session. 1) Time played 2) $won/lost 3) Rake(I take max pot rake at the location and multiply it by 2 per hour) 4) Location 5) I have a field that says if I went to play right after work, if I had to work the next day, or if I didn't work that day and don't have to work the next day. I see a pretty big increase in $/hr when I don't work that day or the next. |

Re: How many hours needed to know your win rate?
Great suggestions, everyone.
I have a column for mileage/gas cost, as I have ~1hr drive each way (and a "cell" for the price of gas). I wish I was closer...I usually feel obligated to play longer, sometimes turing a winning session into a losing one. ugh. |

Re: How many hours needed to know your win rate?
I've got most of what's been listed, but also "Category" and "Class" of opponent:
Categories: 1 = Know most/all players at the table very well 2 = about half and half known or not 3 = all complete strangers Class: A = All/most good/very good players B = half and half C = All terrible players I combine this with general notes about whatever really stood out about the nigh, like card dead, or sucked out on in 500 BB pot at end of night, or I just plain played badly, or whatever. |
