Re: Old School WWF Matches on YouTube
[ QUOTE ]
Sgt. Slaughter vs. The Iron Shiek This is the famous "Boot Camp Match" from Madison Square Garden in June of 1984. Slaughter strangely left the WWF within half a year of this despite maybe being the second most popular face in the company after Hogan. [/ QUOTE ] Thanks, have been wanting to see this match for years. Definitley lived up to expectations. Really brutal match for that era. Anybody have a link to Savage vs. Warrior at WM VII? Remember watching it a few years back and thinking how Savage was able to give Warrior his best match. |

[/ QUOTE ] I just saw a video clip of Slaughter saying the reason he left the WWF in 1984 is because he was fired. He was negotiating for more money and decided to no-show some house shows as a tactic. Vince McMahon wouldn't tolerate no-showing and let Slaughter go. Here's Randy Savage vs. Ultimate Warrior at SummerSlam '92 (face vs. face in Wembley Stadium). This is about a year and a half after their WrestleMania VII match. |

The Greatest Royal Rumble Ever --- Royal Rumble 1992
Basically, if you want to see great wrestling, get everything from 1992 that you can (best Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania VIII was great, and the best Summerslam too). |

Re: Old School WWF Matches on YouTube
Here is a crazy tribute that I found online tonight. There are a lot of "Ultimate Warrior" typos but still kinda cool with the old school music. Tribute to WWF

Re: Old School WWF Matches on YouTube
There's some amazing old stuff on You Tube right now.
Ivan Koloff defeats Bruno Sammartino for the WWWF championship (poor quality) This ended a title reign which lasted from 5/17/63 to 1/18/71. Sammartino said after the match that Madison Square Garden was so quiet after his clean pinfall loss that he thought his hearing was damaged. Bruno Sammartino defeats Stan Stasiak to win his second WWWF title Stasiak was a transitional champion and held the title for just nine days from 12/1/73 to 12/10/73. Superstar Billy Graham defeats Bruno Sammartino for the WWWF championship, Part 1 Graham-Sammartino Part 2 Sammartino's second title reign lasted from 12/10/73 to 4/30/77. His two title reigns combined lasted over eleven years. |
