Old School WWF Matches on YouTube

Some of these have been up for more than a month. But, they might not last too long since the WWE has a policy of getting these taken down quickly.

Iron Shiek beats Bob Backlund for the WWF title
For me, the result of this match was the most shocking ever.

Bob Backlund defends the WWF title vs. Jimmy Snuka inside a steel cage
This is the first famous match in which Snuka lept off the top of a cage.

Andre the Giant vs. Hulk Hogan at the 1980 Showdown at Shea
Hogan is the heel and shows his first finisher- Hogan's Hammer, a clothesline using a "loaded" elbow pad.

Jimmy Snuka's face turn
One of my favorite moments ever. Snuka became a monster face. If he had better mic skills, he could have had Hulk Hogan's role in McMahon's new WWF.

The Magnificent Muraco on Rogers' Corner (a predecessor to Piper's Pit)
Muraco gets upset when Jimmy Snuka enters the ring. Their big feud begins.

1980(?) heel Hulk Hogan picks a fight with Tony Atlas
Watching Hogan's first heel run is always fun. We even see a (missed) leg drop.

There appears to be a lot of late 70s/early 80s WWF material on You Tube. Please link any great moments you find in this thread.

Better mic skills? Snuka was the most incoherent bastard ever to speak into a microphone. That cat is from Jupiter, I'm sure of it.

As I've mentioned in another thread, YouTube has a 10 minute max video time, so you aren't going to find a whole lot of whole matches on there. I'm using DailyMotion which allows bigger files and has no max length. Anyone know of a site that hosts video over 150MB with no time restrictions?

You can put videos over ten minutes on You Tube. But, you need to have a special account.

I'm sure you can find the information on You Tube's site.

I believe the 10+ minute option is intended for amateur directors. However, I've watching wrestling matches more than 10 minutes on You Tube.

What's up with that - So Hogan refusing to lose a clean match as a heel wasn't exclusive to his NWO days?

They used to have a bunch of old matches, but most of them were taken down when the Google takeover happened. WWE's cracking down on places that host their footage illegally.

Honky Tonk Man vs. Randy Savage for the IC title on SNME (poor quality):
