I am new to sports betting what do you mean by the non pinny side.

[/ QUOTE ]

When you find a line from two books that are arbable, chances are one of the books will be Pinnacle (Pinny). The other book will be the non-Pinny book.

From a theoretical standpoint:

Imagine you could get every -110 NBA line a

HALF POINT
FULL POINT

better than the market at a given point in time.

Which value would those lines have? Or would you rather take the same side at -105 instead of the half/full point or something?

I'm sorry, this basketball stuff is really nothing I've ever ventured into from a betting perspective.

I'd take a free full point over -105 vig any day.

You could beat anyone with efficient lines with a free 1 point long term.

Alright, a full point was a bit too much maybe. Even my feeling tells me that it's worth more. How about the half point? There surely has been done analysis over this, but I've googled badly.

1/2 a point is worth about 9c in the NBA.

edit -- In other words, I'd take a free half-point over -105 lines. This is for spreads, not totals.

I see, thank you.

You guys are really quick and good with numbers. No wonder arbing is very profitable for some.

Is there a site with this information I'm missing or just year- long experience? If so, well done.

Check out the dropdown boxes on Pinnacle's dynamic display. It provides at least a rough estimate on the value of 1/2 points for different sports.
