Oh well, I can deal with sucking.

Don't think I'm gonna let you sort of admit defeat while still getting in the last word.

"Firstly, you're being quite a bit conservative with those ranges, esp for UTG and CO....I think all suited cards were being played and many more conenctors/1-gappers."

Was UTG crazy douchebag long haired guy? If so then you're right. Who was CO for this hand? Anyways the ranges are done using percentages in PStove, so it'll have some hands that they'd actually fold, and omit some hands they'd call with. I don't think K7o is in their ranges here, but it's included. My point is that I don't think other than that one guy any of them were playing >40% of their hands in those spots, and for our purposes I think it's a good estimate.

"Either way, ~15% equity in this pot, with position and lots of bad players, I think I might have enough to justify the call...."

Under 14% is far different than ~15%. I see you trying to sneak that in there but don't think you can fool me!

"especially when you throw in the fact that I can win huge pots with straights, since my straight cards are all up in everyone's playing range."

This is just balanced by the fact that you'll make less straights since they all have your straight cards.

"Then again, you know I'm stubborn with defending my PF play."

At least I got you to agree with me about the Q3o play.

you already know im a sucker for KJ and AT in ep against awful fields, i think those hands just need to be played against the sort of fools that normally play juiceball mid limit games. around 60-120 is where i start to lose money not being significantly more careful with those hands. and ill never argue much with prudent people who choose to never play those hands in those spots on principle. i just never equated your preflop standards with anything one would deem prudent. but alas, good players change.

youre not raising A8s, KJo, K9s, 88, 77, T9s, JTs, QTs, 76s? the justin i knew would raise some of those (and others) at least some of the time. if i later questioned him he would say with utter confidence "no, did you see those people? they just needed to be raised with all sorts of hands!"

[/ QUOTE ]

mike,

I'm still raising those types of hands against limpers in late position. There's a few reasons none of those hands would be in my range in this spot. I would limp with every one of the hands you mentioned, but raise if I were CO or button. Actually, I'd just fold KJo, as well as ATo.

[/ QUOTE ]

I literally cannot imagine folding KJo/ATo after 2 limpers in a live game. In a lot of games I hate to fold any 2 broadways, but sometimes I'm able to make the tough laydown with those. I suppose it's possible they (AT/KJ not sooted) aren't profitable, but I really feel like they are against the typical opponents coming in here with god knows what.

Justin: throw the pokerstove analysis in the trash. I think you're probably right but not because of any equity analysis meaningless babble.

Doug: Oops I already told you I play it the same via text message but Justin seems to be winning the argument here.

Mike: you post better than you play

ps: you guys giving out 2+2 cards at the table or something? You got JadeLane who apparently knows you guys posting good hands and good strategy advice. Those games better not suck when I get there

I specifically asked him if he was on tilt because of the preflop call, because I really think it's pretty bad.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm so sorry he rivered a straight to snap your KK.

I've changed my mind on the preflop after reading the thread. He should fold. I called because buttonbuttonbuttonbutton and lots of fishes in the pot. Flop call is good because of what Doug said though - he is going to be able to play great against Justin on the turn.

You guys came to this conclusion because you had "like" AK and Gabe had QQ "or better"? What about if you had "like" 7-6s and Gabe had 55 or better? And you based your conclusion on this particular pre-flop action?

Ooh looks like your hand reading needs some work. He flopped the best hand but I paid him off with ace high because of his flop call and it just didn't make any sense for him to have anything.
