checking the turn with a set here is pretty horrible. not to say he couldnt be doing that.

but if he was, how often do you think he expects us to have a big enough hand to think about calling a shove? not that often.

This hand smells funny. For this to be a value bet he has to

1) Be the type of player who checkraises flop and turn on a board like that

2) If he wants a call he must think you look strong and by checking behind turn you don't look that strong to me
