Any king beats you, and that's what he's got. Stupid river, and nice fold.

Lemme explain my earlier post.

First off, I realize we don't have the hypothetical nuts, but we have the nuts.

Second, by betting I mean your bet on the turn is too large. Just make it two thirds or even one half of the pot because he might be chasing a flush. I realize you want the pot to be large with a FH, but there isn't much you can do if he's just calling you down in an unraised pot.

Finally, on the river I would bet $6 instead as it makes you more aware of where you stand if he does raise.

I c/c that river

With this river I would want to see a showdown as cheaply as possible and you're not losing much value in this situation by not betting.

Why is it a bad thing to get a lot of money in the pot when villain will call anyway and is drawing nearly dead?

Check the river, there is some value there but not enough to re-open the betting, plus a check likely creates some bluff equity as a queen may try to steal what they expect to be a split pot.

I don't like your preflop play. I'd feel incredibly dirty if I open-completed with that in 6max. If you want to play that hand oop, don't let him in with 52o. If you don't want to play that hand oop, fold.

Flop and turn are ok. If villain is a calling station, you can overbet for value, certainly. But I think a psb in an unraised pot is just fine.
River is teh sux0rz, obviously. I c/c here unless he pushes or makes a big overbet or something.

Okay, so Villian has this stats: 38/15.1/1.94(179). Other than that I have no reads on him.

[/ QUOTE ]

180 hands and no reads other than his stats, how come?

Stack sizes:
UTG: $58.20
CO: $33.80
Button: $118.80
cyg: $101.20
BB: $61.45

Pre-flop: (5 players) cyg is SB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
3 folds, cyg calls, BB checks.

Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($1, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">cyg bets $1</font>, BB calls.

Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($3, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">cyg bets $3</font>, BB calls.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm interested to know what people think villains range is at this point.

[ QUOTE ]

River: K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($9, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">cyg bets $4.5</font>, <font color="#cc0000">BB raises to $15.5</font>, cyg folds.
Uncalled bets: $11 returned to BB.

[/ QUOTE ]

A read would be good about now but most likely I'll check/call this. Don't see him having KQ here ever, he'd raise that preflop. K8 is possible and would certainly fit a donktastic slow play but other than that he could have A8 or a flush and read your bet for weakness.

[ QUOTE ]

Results:
Final pot: $18

How do I proceed here? Is he holding KQ?

I for one multitable with a lot of overlap. So this is not uncommon...

Any Q, any K, any heart, any 8. If he could hold PPs depends on his calling tendencies/WTS.

hm, you're right about the riverbet. I made it look too weak, but I think he got at least a King there.

and yeah, I should have raised that preflop.
thanks for your advices guys.
