Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($1, 2 players) <font color="#cc0000">cyg bets $1</font>, BB calls. Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($3, 2 players) <font color="#cc0000">cyg bets $3</font>, BB calls. Hi.
To be honest with you, I don't have the answer to the river for certainty without being there. My default is to pay the guy off. If he runner runnered me (or had QQ) then so be it. Regarding your bets... I'm betting as much as someone will call there. I'd push the flop if I thought someone would call it. I can't for the life of me figure out what the other guy was saying.

he has close to it, I don't understand why you wouldn't want to build a pot up with a monster. As played this is a close call. Your river bet says "I have an 8, please let me see a cheap showdown" depends on reads really, but it's very close for an unknown and probably a call. The only K I can put him on is K8, KQ he would have raise pf most of the time.

TBH I would call that river bet and hope for a split [img]/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img] Can't see being beaten here often.
Flop and turn are fine. I might (probably would, although I'm not advocating it as correct) check river but I'm calling pretty much any bet he makes. What can he have? AhKx - possible-ish. 8x - most likely imo. Qx - mebbe. KQ would be a sickener. Some stupid flush? 9HTH? I just cannot convince myself he beats me that often.

that same exact thing happen to me in a live .25/.25 game. you really shouldn't be betting like that on the river, it's definitly a ROI situation and the only way your going to win is small if he just has an A or he's going to push into you and you'll lose big to a K here, like I did when I made a horrible $10 river call [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img].
