Re: Have you ever been comped in vegas for sportsbetting?
[ QUOTE ]
The sports books are the least accomodating areas in Vegas anymore. You're fortunate if you can find one that comps drinks, so good luck getting them to comp a room for 2 medium-sized bets a day. [/ QUOTE ] The Venitian is good for comped drinks. I was sitting in there taking a break and watching espn and the waitress kept coming around with free drinks. I was not betting just looking at the odds sheets and watching tv. |

I know station casinos offers $1 in comp for every $400 in sports bets wagered. So you would be looking at like $2.50 a day there. Have fun on your trip

Re: Have you ever been comped in vegas for sportsbetting?
1k a day in action at sports translates to an expectation of about $50 a day for the house. So it's really no big deal to them - remember, someone betting $25 Blackjack with cycle through MANY thousands at a 2-3 percent handicap (or more if they suck). It's pretty much a bottom line thing.

I have played a fair share of casino blackjack (roughly 1,000 hours) and from my experience, less than 5% of players know basic strategy (its probably closer to 1%). For example, I can count on two hands the number of players that I have seen hit a soft 18 versus a dealer ten up. Whenever someone makes a non-intuitive correct basic strategy play I am amazed. |
