Have you ever been comped in vegas for sportsbetting?
From April 2nd to the 14th I'm going to be staying in Vegas. I'm going to be betting about 1k a day on the games. I feel like I should be able to get my room comped for this. I don't really have a players card for anywhere since I'm mainlu a poker player. I have a wynn card. Maybe I should contact them. See what I can arrange. I fully expect to have reserve the room on my cc, but I feel like over the two weeks if they see my action, they should comp me. Is this reasonable? 14k worth of action is pretty solid.
Thoughts, advice? |

I'm not much of a sports bettor, but what's the vig on that, like 5%?
with only a 50$ expected take off your daily action, it wouldn't really make sense for them to comp your room I think. |

14k, should get you atleast a break. I think for every $100 you bet in sportsbooks gets you $1 in comps..thats the way the guy @ Caesers told me when we were there for MarchMadness last March. What kind of gamesyou betting then? NBA?
now 14k ina slot and you may get the best suite in the house lol |

I contacted the Wynn and they said there was no chance. That I needed to be betting 30k a game to get comped. Which well, just isn't going to happen. It amazes me though that in theory the house has a very large edge against me and I'm offering 1k in action a day that I can't get a room comped. If i played 1k in bj in a couple hours I know I could get comped. Sucks.

1k in action at the BJ table will get you nothing at the Wynn. That's like half an hour at a $25 table making min bets. For 1k in action at the sports book the casino might expect to make $100 off you on average. They are not going to give you a room that normally goes for $400+ /night for that.

I would try MGM, or Caesers..both nice places w/ nice sports books..and a tad cheaper than Wynn..they will have lower standards for comps...plus you can play @ like 10 casinos on the 2 cards(MGM and total rewards)

As 'Popper pointed out, forget about the $1000 you're risking, and look at the $50/day EV you're offering the casino. If you get $20 worth of comps for that (about the price of a buffet), don't complain, because they're really stretching to accommodate you.

The casino isn't going to worship you just because you're betting 1k per day. That's not even a lot to most of them.

Re: Have you ever been comped in vegas for sportsbetting?
The sports books are the least accomodating areas in Vegas anymore. You're fortunate if you can find one that comps drinks, so good luck getting them to comp a room for 2 medium-sized bets a day.
