Mine falls in the starting business vein...
I was a director level employee in a .com fiasco from 2000-2002. $11 million investment spent for about $75,000 in generated revenue. A group of us (including company founders) went to the executive team/VC about changing the direction of the company. VC guy determines he is bored with the investment, unilaterally decides to liquidate. Good news was we had $4 mil in the bank that was distributed to the shareholders (of course he got the majority back). Took the leap of faith to start from scratch and implement the change of direction we proposed. Built enterprise software products from scratch with NO customers and $200,000 in starting cash + founders living off their own assets. We've officially more than doubled our revenue every year since our initial customer in Jan 2003. In 2006, we posted our first seven digit year of revenue, with 35%+ profit margin. Debt free, growing fast, and implementing YOUR plan = good [censored]. |

Graduating first in my law school class. Turning a total dog-with-fleas patent infringement case into a nine-figure settlement for my client. Hopefully, "being a great dad" will someday trump this but it's too early to say. [/ QUOTE ] mind sharing the story/info of the case? and how much $ exactly did he and you both get. |

im also 19 so my range of accomplishments is far less than some of you, but things that stick out are having the discipline and motivation to make it through a post graduate year after i had already graduated high school [with a 1.8] which then actually got me into a good college. winning a state championship in soccer in mass. my junior year of H.S. making my college lax team (and a bunch of other sports accomplishments but these are two big ones) one thing i wish i could say though is that i'd been a better brother to my 10 yo sister.

Wow, some of you are ridiculous. Congrats.
I don't have much right now that isn't poker related, but I sort of get the feeling that ten years from now, I'm either going to be a multimillionaire in exile or some kind of hotshot RE developer. Either way, I guess I'm up for it. |

It's funny how due to the nature of this forum poker accomplishments aren't considered real accomplishments.
Raptor, If I were to show you your house right now and told you when you were 18 that you would not only be living in that house, but you would own it. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't believe it or you would feel like you accomplished something pretty damn impressive. As for me it's kind of tough, I'm very happy with the life I'm living, but there aren't many great accomplishments. It seems everything I'm good at people are better than me at. For me I need to "win" regardless of what winning is, I'm always happy with a second place, but I'm also very disappointed. There is lots of stuff I have done, which I'm proud of but nothing which I feel is my "biggest accomplishment." While this is a subjective question I feel like I should be able to answer it objectively correctly instantaneously. Maybe within a year or so I will have a good answer, until then I will continue to ramble nonsensically. |

I double a $1K bankroll 15 times in 3.5 years (with no employees).
I decide I have enough of the money game. I fire my two remaining customers. I now go fishing with the locals in rudimentary boats as a hobby, and raise my 5 year old daughter. I'm bored and content, but happyness eludes me. |
