I wish the snow would shut things down up here. I'm at SU and walking to class in this weather sucks. You kinda get used to your body freezing though.

This is awesome.

We used to get a lot of snow in Wisconsin, but the past 10 winters or more have been pretty pathetic.

It's currently -5 outsaide. If we had more snow it would be a tolerable temperature (at least for me, that's just how my brain works). We haven't had any decent accumulation all winter (decent meaning 4"+ that melts within a few days anyway).

I would move to Syracuse or any other heavy snow producing part of North America in a heartbeat if my wife agreed (she doesn't).

I imagine that the water content is pretty high in Syracuse. Here in Colorado, the snow is usually fluffy, with very little water and it settles.

Pretty heavy snow as it generated from the lake moisture getting sucked up into col low pressure systems.

Lake-effect snow has very low water content, especially at the current very low temperatures.

In CA, we are in a drought so far this winter. But, there is a 4 day storm coming our way starting on Wednesday! Hope it brings a bunch of snow to the Sierra's so I can go snowboarding!

Pretty amazing that everyone goes about their business. I look at that shot of your brother in laws car and assume that it's going nowhere - so he'd be stuck at your place.
