Without reading any responses, I think calling his turn raise and praying for him to bluff the river is your only chance of getting more chips in the pot.
I think his turn raise is very often a bluff and very seldom a hand that plans on putting any more chips in the pot for value. I personally like a CR on the flop. It's just such a standard "newbie" play with trips here that when made by a good player against another good player, it almost HAS to be a bluff.. haha |

No offense, I can't even think of a worse line than you took. This could be a lack of creativity on my part. [/ QUOTE ] |

if i lead flop and call a raise then checkraise turn i have nuts like 100% of time. what i am saying is i would never take that line as a bluff on this board and he knows that. [/ QUOTE ] If this is with 100BB, then you will have gotten plenty of value for your hand by the time you c/r on the turn. What are stack sizes here? It is going to be hard to double up on a board this dry, but against an aggressive player who knows that you will play back against aggression on dry boards like this, i would probably c/r on the flop to induce a bluff. |
