i don't think its stretching it to say that at least many jews consider themselves a race.

As to the Darwinism theories, I would suspect that if anything its the cultural drive, not the Holocaust or whatever (I suspect that jews were also smart before the holocaust), that would cause these results. Prolly a mix of selective breeding based on brains and cultural upbringing heavily favoring cognitive ability have to account for it.

A lot of people ascribe it to the rabbinical system and allowance of marriage. Rabbis were traditionally the smarter kids, and Rabbis I think tended to have bigger families. You do the math.

Course if you consider Catholic priests were meant to be the smartest available, and they weren't allowed to breed, that would mean Catholics have been slowly getting...
