Re: Folding 4 to a flush - mistake?
Be nice to the newbies.
You had a flush draw and an open ended straight draw and the pot is massive, peel here for 2 bets. |

Draws suck in stud. [/ QUOTE ] I still haven't waded through the original hand, but this is pretty far off the mark. |

OK, I read third street. Third is an easy, easy call.

Re: Folding 4 to a flush - mistake?
this is a good first step to keep learning! one thing to remember is that at low levels there is an awful lot of "representing" going on, so if you have a monster draw like this you have to figure it will be good if you get there. PLUS, if you don't, you're not paying anyone off on 7th st, and if you do, you have 2 guys to pay you off (except in this case one is all-in). You were right to feel like it was a weak starting hand, but since you were already halfway in as the bring-in, I make that call EVERY time.

Re: Folding 4 to a flush - mistake?
you are the bring in on third and only have to call 25 cents more to a pot that is already multi action. only one card dead. you need to be calling on 3rd. and you need to play this hand down to river if you catch a 4th suit on 4th or 5th. there is little to think about calling on 3rd. it should be automatic in that situation.
