Can you be more specific about what is wrong with iTunes?

[/ QUOTE ]

- it's slow
- it's very hard to update playlists without getting duplicate songs in file and if you move the file it refuses to locate it in it's new position
- apple downloads your playlist

It's just kind of like a survey so they can see what music is popular with people. Some people view it as an invasion of privacy but it's not a big deal.

The last update of iTunes included MiniStore which sent information about each song you played to a marketing company in Utah. I believe that you now have the option to disable MiniStore if you have a problem with this.

Im pretty sure you arent using the playlist features correctly at all. iTunes playlists are very easy to manage. And how old is your computer? itunes shouldnt be any slower than any other media program

I agree. When iTunse first came out for windows back in 03 it was a huge memory hog, but since then Apple has gotten much better at designing Windows software, I guess, cause it runs much smoother now.

My computer is over 5 years old and iTunes does occasionally slow it down. However, its ability to both catalogue and allow me to find songs out of a roughly 50 gig collection of mp3s is what makes me addicted to it. That and I have an ipod.

Winamp is a great app but itunes is way better if your music collection is huge.

Anapod Explorer is a good alternative to Itunes.

I've only used the ml_ipod plugin for winamp. Installed iTunes when I first got my ipod to do their gay registration and never ran it since out of my complete hatred for the software.
