Default Screw You iTUNES...I\'m Going home !

This software is the biggest POS in the history of multimedia...so many goddamn bugs not to mention these assholes download your playlist and enter it into their "marketing" database.

I actually just figured out after an entire year of using it that I can basically just use the portable device function on any music software.

that being said:

Can someone recommend me a good music program to use??? (I have about 3,000 songs and would like to be able to organize them well.)

i don't know too much about how it organizes songs, but I've found that a program called EphPod has saves me a lot of headaches that I used to have with iTunes. I believe it is shareware.

So I suck at computers.
If I get rid of itunes, how do I deal with moving files to the ipod?

I just got an ipod and didn't know this either. While I haven't had any problems with iTunes, it lags my computer like a mofo.

well I'm downloading winamp as we speak but there should be something in the file or tools option where it addresses portable music devices.

it basically treats your ipod as another peripheral drive and you can just drag and drop your songs in there...itunes apparently has no bearing on making your ipod work. You're ipod is striclty an external hard drive.

EphPod should do that. I actually am not sure that EphPod does what the original poster was asking (i may have misread his post). But EphPod transfers the music to my iPod a lot faster than iTunes ever did (and doesn't freeze up like iTunes would). Plus, it allows for multiple libraries on one machine.

I got a new phone last week. I got the razr, but I wanted the slivr, but the salesman said it ONLY used iTunes. I have plenty of songs, and have no use for iTunes, so I passed. It would suck if I could have just put songs on the phone using winamp or anything else.
