Re: Going to Be On TV (Strat/Advice/Hang Out?)
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I say u bring 100k have ave 2 buyins of 50k [/ QUOTE ] I'm a tiny bit worried that I play better with closer to 100bbs. I guess I probably know how to adjust, and the deeper we are the better for me, assuming I'm better than them. I'm gonna keep looking for ways to get another 50k or so there. I also hope that if I wire 100k there tomorrow, it'll arrive in time. Will it? Does anyone know if KingNeo is cool? I might hang out with him there. I'm pretty cool. [/ QUOTE ] dude, you will rock this game. gl |

Re: Going to Be On TV (Strat/Advice/Hang Out?)
Jman, very nice opportunity! They don't even televise it in NH, though, I'm so mad . It's about time they have more cash game shows...these are the future hopefully...I'm so sick of all-in tourneys.
I think you should stick to playing with close to 100 BBs, especially as you get a feel for the live poker comp. Remember Aba's experience...he tried to come out playing too fast, running over the table, and it backfired. So I would say to start more conservatively, get a feel for the table, and then expand. I'm sure you'll do great, and I'm excited to hear the results. |

Re: Going to Be On TV (Strat/Advice/Hang Out?)
Definitely don't buyin initially with all the money you can stand to lose even if there is a huge fish that's playing deep... your EV will be lower the earlier in the game you do this. As it gets toward acceptably late in the game then you can add more if you want. Good luck, I look forward to seeing this.

Re: Going to Be On TV (Strat/Advice/Hang Out?)
it's a totally different group this time around. i foresee some gambling. you have to plan on playing afterwards b/c the filming time is really boring (8-10hands/hour). you will definitely have some boredom tilt. -ba

Re: Going to Be On TV (Strat/Advice/Hang Out?)
philly, this will be the softest 75-150 game u will ever sit on. u know this already though. u also know they will all be ridiculously bad, and use some very creatively bad lines. read thru that and u will crush the entire game. as far as tv time and being famous, you are hilarious. just be yourself and ull be more than fine. i also like sitting 50 then if busto sit 50 more. dont give yourself a chance to not be sitting in that game. also, ill buy whatever piece u wanna sell me. <3.

Re: Going to Be On TV (Strat/Advice/Hang Out?)
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Live pros suck. They are super passive preflop. Just don't try to outthink certain situations. Assume you are much smarter than all of them and you'll clean house. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah. Good advice. Will most of them know how to vb thin? Will they 3 barrel with draws? Will they respect a river checkraise (asuming I can rep something)? Will they usually give up on rivers that they miss or fire? Obv very general quesiton, but I mean the avg player vs the avg online player of similar stakes. [/ QUOTE ] In general there will be less bluffing, less thin value betting, and less hand-reading induced "hero" calls. |
