Re: Did i deserve the abuse?
[ QUOTE ]
As for the odds I think you are correct. You never stated you were 2/1 to win, only that you had a 2/1 chance to hit your nut hand on the turn, which is correct. 9 outs * 4 = 36%. [/ QUOTE ] Whuh-what? This is totally wrong, sorry. Your odds of hitting the flush on the turn are approximately 1 in 5. Your odds of hitting the flush on the river are also approximately 1 in 5. Your odds of hitting the flush on one of the two streets is roughly 1 in 2.5. Your pot odds are significantly better than this and the chances that you hit your draw and lose are negligible so you call. Hopefully this makes sense, i'm tired |

Re: Did i deserve the abuse?
To OP: woah woah woah, you say their play was bad as any 7 or q had them beaten? The money went in on the flop and not the turn my friend.

Re: Did i deserve the abuse?
My point was there call was looser than mine as i knew what i needed to win, risking your whole stack when theres straight and flush possibilities with a pair seemed worse than any decision of mine

Re: Did i deserve the abuse?
Doh, I should've phrased it 9 outs * 4 = 36% to hit the flush by the river (with two cards to come) NOT the turn.

I know its already been said but dont open limp, it just isnt profitable.
