did you really think this was a good move when you made it?

edit: at what point did you think raising T9o like this was a good idea, this is a serious question to, as something like this would never ever come to me.

Bluffing on 4 streets only give you extremely high risk of being eliminated early. T9 all in preflop might be even better in this situation.

Pre-flop: (9 players) HERO is MP3 with 9 T
3 folds, MP2 calls t20 (pot was t30), HERO raises to t100

Find one regular on this forum, any BI, who thinks this is anything but mindbogglingly atrocious.

Unfortunately SNGs really don't allow for off-the-wall crazy genius early. Esp. low buyins. Stifling, but true.

yes, it is bad.

you can make a heap of money playing SNGs without doing this risky stuff.

there's enough variance in them as it is.

Well if it makes you feel any better this was the first time i've ever c/r AI as a bluff. Although in my defence, I felt i was 90%+ sure UTG+1 had overs

p.s. i miss warnie already

There's really no need for this type of play in SNGs. I mean, you can bluff in them but this hand is a little ridiculous, mostly because you get action preflop and then the board's texture is terrible for bluffing by the time the turn has been dealt.

Also your flop raise is way too small, imo.

Is he the donk for not letting go of top pair bad kicker, or are you the donk for not letting go of T high?

Fold pf
Fold flop(or raise 200 to 280 so he understands that it will cost a lot to find out where he stands, if you raise him meaisily 120 more when he just put in 80 he won't go away)

Well, I'm happy that my read was right. I knew he was weak, just didn't realize what a calling station he'd turn out to be.

And yes, this was Fancy-Play Syndrome, perhaps better for MTT's than SNG's I suppose.

I was just practising, I've found that like many others said, it's fairly easy to play TAG and do well. Although once we're down to 5 handed or less I obviously open up my game a bit.
