Uh, true... It's not like Bush appointed the head of the FBI, which investigated the case, and the head of the DOJ which oversees prosecution of the case. Oh, and the US Attorney for the Southern District of NY who brought the case against the two Neteller execs.

Neteller is a juicy bone to avid lawmakers who probably see them as genuinely pi**ing the law; in their mindset they are criminals - NO PROBLEM, that's how lawmen think and operate.

Kyl, Goodlatte, Boucher, Leach - NO PROBLEM; honest, capable politicians who passionately believe their cause.

No its unprincipled or greedy hypocrites that are the problem.

FRIST - would you buy a used car from him?
EBAY - who support the UIGEA when PayPal got knocked back as an earlier Neteller.
NFL and anyone who pretends the UIGEA is about morals rather than their narrow self interests.

YES, the antiquated US law gave leverage for the offshore sites, and YES they've made a lot of money because they provide a service people enjoy, but then why not recognize this and change the law before internet gambling becomes driven further underground.

Consder also the following two points:

The growth the brick+Mortar casinos (consider also Macau)

Cigarettes: more addictive and dangerous to most than gambling.
US tobacco companies are doing their utmost to increase their profits in other developing markets. But we won't see any of their execs under threat.

As of right now tilt and stars just accepted deposits from my neteller (standard method, with 10K max)... the deposits were instantaneous as always...

there is a delay however on a withdrawal attempt from my neteller to bank of america using the free of charge eft method... customer service said there are current issues with a 3rd party processing department they use for these transactions... cant really be a good sign but perhaps it is just due to "volume" as their tech support puts it...

they also stated that the neteller debit card is operating as usual ($1200 or 3 transactions per day - whichever comes first - from your atm, but you can only transfer 1K max per day to your debit card from your neteller acct).

might as well at least utilize this method every day (in addition to whatever else seems to be working) if anyone has a balance they wish to withdraw...

For real, that is something that I just can't seem to grasp. Did these geniuses think that the DOJ was just kidding when they arrested David Carruthers? Or that Peter Dicks was held in New York because of his incredible personality and charm?

It's hard to understand. I mean I like living in the US. It has a lot of nice places, but if I have hundreds of millions of dollars and all I had to do to stay out of jail was not be in the US, I'd find someplace else to vacation.
