Re: Check cashing
Unless you clear it in advance don't do it. I stayed at Exalibur, and when cashing a traveller's check asked them what their policy on cashing personal checks was. They said $1000 a day, no fee. Next trip, I called the Barbary Coast in advance, since I was planning on just cashing personal checks instead of carrying a lot of cash or getting TCs. Their policy is $100 a stay/week. I don't imagine a third party check will get better treatment than a personal check, so unless you know you're OK bring the cash.

Re: Check cashing
[ QUOTE ]
I don't have an issue carrying cash. The reason for my post was because cashing my checks at the casino would have been the ultimate in convenience. No side trip to the bank, no standing in line, and no being charged a lame fee by my lame bank. Since it appears that casinos will not cash out of state checks, it looks like I'm going to have to go to the bank. [/ QUOTE ] Have you tried to call the casino and ask if they'll cash the checks? Another option is asking about cashing personal checks. You could always deposit your checks in your account and just write a personal check at the cage. |
