hand 1 i would def not be folding riv. but i play it the same on previous streets. i would not fold riv cause 4 pairing is a really good card for you and he can def be value pushing worse imo. i think folding turn is a viable option though.

[/ QUOTE ]

it's almost a 2x pot push to hero. the only worse hand that villain can be value betting is exactly JT trying to get called by AJ. i still like a call b/c villain can be bluffing here a lot though.

as for hand 2, i'd definitely get ai. i'd probably c/c flop, check turn and if he checks behind then shove river.

[/ QUOTE ]
Why the if's on hand 2, go with what the action was?

In other words, you call?

[/ QUOTE ]

oh yeah, i'd call turn as played. i was just saying what i would've done if he had checked behind on the turn. you know, for extra credit.

Why would you raise in hand 1? Do many worse hands call? The board is so dry.

Any worse hand with a pair will definitely call, unless he's actually good, which most who make these bets are not.

As played, I think it's closer than everybody else seems to be making it out to be, but I probably call.

Hand 2: Meh, that flop sucks, but I would still probably c/r AI on the flop.

As played.... ehhh. Close, but I call. I just have a really hard time getting away here, after so much goes in PF. Probably a good laydown.

For hand 2, I propose that the fact that you don't have the Ad has to lean you towards calling. There's a bunch of nut flush draw combos that could be emboldened by the (incorrect) assumption they have at least one overcard. If you had the Ad, maybe a fold is correct.

If I could call just 1 of the 2 my choice would be hand 2 lacking reads. Kx usually just doesn`t take this line very often ime.
Hand 2 is perfectly fine with me. I dont think JT bets the flop like this given villain`s AF. Raise the flop = meh imo.

I have some results: I was villain in hand two. By the way, it's pretty rare that I will squeeze an UTG raiser. I can't really explain why, but I was certain you didn't have AK after check/call - check, and felt my turn shove would represent it very convincingly. Uncharacteristically, I was making a move and had J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I put on something in the JJ-88 area, and I felt you would call once and fold to a second barrel with those holdings (your stats are on the nitty side), and might have an overcard or two if you made a heroic call. I'm shocked you got away from AA.

Can someone explain to me why hand1 is an easy call?

Villains 1/2psb on flop could be a number of things, Jx, even under-PPs or pure bluffs, but it could also be a set trying to b->3b.

His turn full pot / river overbet push sure look like he's building a big pot OOP when he failed to get off a flop b3b, since this line doesn't make any sense with 1pr or JT which leaves us with sets?

surf, mostly because we are putting him on squarely 22 since the 4 pairs there is only 1 combo of 44 and basically i think he is shoving wider than that on average given his stats. maybe not much wider but what else do we really lose to?

You don't think TT is a probable holding for villain in hand 1? He leads to "see where he's at," then hits gin on the turn and pots it and shoves river when he figures hero isn't getting away from overpair?
